Have you ever given a name to a pet or child and the personality totally fit the name like a self-fulfilling prophecy? Did you pick a name out of a baby book and the meaning of the name totally sticks?

Maybe you named your first child Blade and he became a chef or you named your cat Minion and it turned out to make Minion noises when it purrs. Or maybe you were named after someone whether it be a famous person or someone in your family and you followed in their footsteps.

What's in a name?

We have a dog that weighs 17lbs. When we adopted him, his foster mom had been calling him Max because he looked like the dog named Max from How the Grinch Stole Christmas. We already had another dog that had a silly, long name, so, to match, we renamed Max to Maximus Minimus *our last name*. Well, when we first got him, we called him a "loner puppy" because he was quiet and kept his distance from us for 1-2 months. Then he bonded. Hard. And now he has a very big dog "maximus" attitude in a very small dog "minimus" body. Total Napoleon complex. We joke he's like Joe Pesci in every mob movie Joe Pesci has been in-- small but aggressive. Oops.
