It looks to be a promising emerald cut, I would ask JA for some more pictures and an Idealscope image, ASET is preferable if available.

My eye really likes the appearance of this stone!! Ditto L on getting images to know more.

Got the idealscope image......

Now that I''ve been working with James Allen... it seems the original mfg "PrinceCut" wants my business. I sent them a rather blunt email asking why they specifically wanted to custom make a ring; and wanted to know if it''s true that PrinceCut doesn''t make their own settings.

Ahh... decisions.... My gf really liked the prince cut, it really did sparkle... but I feel a little safer going with a pS vendor.

Gorgeous IS!

The IS looks fine, thanks for posting it. I am not familiar with the Prince Cut, but I assume it is a branded cut?

It''s a branded modified emerald cut... has 116 facets instead of fifty-something of a traditional emerald cut. Basically it allows for more fire around the edges, and much better light return...

Love, love, love it... but a bit more expensive because of the cut. My girl is super tall, and has long fingers, size 7... so I''d prefer to get her a little bit larger stone so it stays in proportion.

Opinions? I don''t know which is better...

I also definitely prefer the first diamond.

Nice cut

Love the first one, but it seems to be sold; did you get it?

Didn''t get it... was waiting to hear one more time to give the prince cut people a chance.....

*le sigh*
I think I will have to wait until the first time we met to propose in February, so I have enough time to get what she really wants instead of trying to rush it for our vacation.

Bummer! I''m sure whenever it happens it''ll be perfect!

What do you think of this one? It has great steps but I don''t know what your budget is like. In the future you can put stones on hold with the vendor while you get opinion. Sadly stone poaching is one of the downsides to PS.
