We do not own any cars right now but we get driven around in an I think 09 Buick minivan that is dark blue and EXACTLY like every one of my friends other than the ones who chose silver lol

When we get back dh will probably buy a used convertible of some sort and get me a used (2 year old) honda pilot or something similar.

I have 2007 Citroën C3 - it was a gift from Mr L's auntie when I passed my test three years ago and as a result the back is a patchwork of affectionate scrapes, nudges and little dents that I have carefully added over time. Mr L has a 2009 Volvo XC90 which is huge and swapping between cars really messes with my spacial awareness!

DH is a vintage car fanatic. He drives a 1963 Maserati 3500 GT that he bought derelict & had restored over 10 years; it's his mistress. We had no curtains in the living room, but a Maserati in the garage; that paints the picture for you! He also still has his car from college: a van den Plas Princess, 1965. Made by Austin, never sold in the States. It is the CUTEST little thing -- walnut dash & trim, & little walnut picnic tables that pull down from the rear of the front seats; also the most comfortable (leather) seats on earth. This is Bruintje (Dutch for Little Brown Fellow, complete w/Dutch license plate he still keeps on it).

When we moved I made him sell the '63 Sting Ray with, shudder, orange, red & blue flames on the hood. No room for it here, thank goodness.

I drive a 2010 VW Passat wagon I bought last year. I LOVE that car!! Everything I want, standard equipment. Comfortable as a favorite armchair. Not expensive. And you need one car that can tow the other old coots when they break down!

Me: 2008 Subaru Impreza (NOT the WRX - I can't stand those silly hood vents and oversized spoilers :nono: ) with my own upgrades done aftermarket
DH: 2005 Hyundai Tucson. He wanted a station wagon (subaru or volvo) and I put my foot down and stated that I trekked across the USA in a station wagon when my dad was in the Navy and there was no way I would ever set foot in one again. So he picked the Tucson.

Eta: My car has a custom license plate that says "Sparkly" ::)

Love, Love, Love the Maserati JewelFreak.

I drive a 2004 GMC Yukon

Husband is a car dude and collects toys. He has a 2004 F250 Super Duty, a 1982 Jeep CJ7 that he has worked on and modified into some big monster Jeep type of thing (I need a rope ladder to get into it), a 2004 Harley Road King that he has customized, and he is building a 1965 Harley Pan Head. He is all ready looking around for his next project - an 1958-1967 corvette convertible to restore. Can I tell you how hard it is to move in the military with all of these vehicles...

I drive a 2004 Toyota Rav 4. DH drives a 2009 Toyota Matrix. We both had horrible experiences with American-made cars, so we are foreign brand all the way!

We both drive 2007 Honda Civics. We were driving SUVs and became disgusted with the gas we were wasting driving them, so we sold 'em and bought our Civics in their place.

I drive a 2007 Honda Odyssey minivan. With 3 kids we need some room.
DH drives a 2010 Nissan Altima. It's perfect for commuting and for taking the 2 older kids out on the weekends. But if we go places as a family we take the van.

I drive a 2010 VW Golf Sportline
DH drives a 2002 VW Jetta Diesel

I tried for something other than a VW but no luck, DH is a fanatic and managed to convince me to buy the Golf. We're going to visit the factory where it was made during our trip to Germany later this month

We share a 2005 Prius. His last car was the Snow Panther, a Taurus. I don't know why it was called that...

Me: '08 Toyota Corolla S (very cute)
DH: '09 Ford Escape

DH began working for Toyota at their NA Heaquarters this year, and they are reintroducing their employee car incentive program this month. We a now in process of selling my Corolla (since its manual and not as practical since DH can't drive it plus not as easy to drive with the LO on the way) and will be replacing it with a new Camry or a Prius. We are also going to sell DH's Escape and he is getting a 4Runner in its place on his work lease program - while I hate the idea of leasing a car, the program will pay for his insurance plus registration, which is very expensive for a new car in our state. And with the technology changing on fuel efficiency, he can trade the car in for a better model in a few years without worry.

We're in a complicated car situation right now. I drive a 98 jeep grand cherokee, and had decided I wanted to sell it. Fi bought a 98 Toyota corolla that he planned on driving for work, and in the meantime I'd drive his 2005 Prius (since I drive like 2000 miles a year, and he drives for a living). Well, I started cleaning out my jeep to sell, and I started crying! I've been driving it for a long time, and I really love it. I can't get rid of it. It's off the road right now, and we were driving the corolla and Prius, but then last Friday Fi was in a fender bender in the Prius, so we are down to the corolla, at least, that's the only thing that's both drivable and on the road.

I currently drive a 2003 Audi TT convertible. As much as I love the car I bought it 2 months before meeting my DH while I was still living in Houston. It is NOT a practical car for the Toronto winters and so bye bye to the car this fall (and had I known I was going to move to Canada I wouldn't have bought it). I stored it for the first winter but considering it was in storage longer than it was driven this year it's time for it to go. My SO drives a 2000 Honda civic. It's nothing special but it's paid for and a great little car for his short drive to work. After we get rid of the Audi we're looking at a small SUV or some sort. We want to get a hobby farm and need something to haul stuff in, something good on gas, something we can hook a camper up to, bring our bikes/canoe on and also have enough room for kids in the future. So we're looking at Ford and Subaru next spring for our new vehicle. We'll still keep the Honda as our daily beater car though.

I love my car so much I will probably drive it until it dies a sad death. DH hates his car so much he wants to light it aflame. But both cars hold the baby and have room for one more baby eventually, so we will be keeping them even if he cries every time he drives his

They really are such great cars! We've impressed many people with the amount of stuff we can cram into it!
