I just got a stone here are the stats.....

Carat 1.26
Color F
Clarity VS2
Depth 59.4%
Table 62.0%
Crown Angle 31.5
Pavillion Angle 42.0

Polish & Symmetry is Very Good

It is GIA certified with a cut of Very Good

It looks great to me..shimmers, has fire, ....but I put the stats into HCA & it says it is not that good....what gives??

Hi Hi Cotton,
If you want the prettiest stone look for a GIA cut of excellent. VG polish and Sym work but you really need an excellent cut; that will make the difference. Glad you are using the cut advisor! Happy shopping and welcome.

The depth is slightly shallow, the table is quite large and the crown and pavillion angles are way off from great performers.

Try for a stone with a depth between 60-62, table 54-57 and an HCA of 2 or under.

OK....back to the drawing board.....Thanks

smaller table to avoid fish eye
