Hi everyone!

I am so lost and need you guy help me out. I want to give my gf a best diamond within my budget, and I found this diamond GIA 1132867954 and it is 0.95ct. I have talk to one of the guy on then internet, and he told me it is not a good stone. He did not explain why all he said it is Indian stone. Please educate me as to why this is not a good stone.

Carat weight 0.95
color J
clarity grade SI2
cut Good

I looked at the Ref diagram and it has some inclusion (cloud) However, it is eye clean.

The depth is 62.5
table 55
crown 31
pavilion 42.6

HCA is 4.3

By the way, is from BN and they are cert by GIA, however, it does not have laser inscription, should I worry?

The stone is listed for 2700 and it below average cost according to our database.

Thanks

Read up on HCA scores and you will see yours is not good. Is it eye clean? You have only seen the diagram. It is priced low for a reason.

It won't be incredibly sparkly or brilliant for one thing..,

Also- my guess is that it faces up smaller than a .95 should by looking at the depth and HCA score... What are the measurements of the stone??

the stone dimension is 6.29-6.38 x 3.96

If you don't mind me using your post to ask a question-- something I have seen here a lot.

Isn't an SI2 stone by definition NOT eye clean, which is why it is an SI2?

I see many people saying they want an SI1 or SI2 that is eye clean and I keep thinking "sure, doesn't everyone?"

so this stone faces up like a .85ct stone. I Think you would do better finding an ideal cut .85 ct stone- it will be the same diameter and face up size and would be incredibly brilliant and sparkly in comparison

nothing good about this stone. IMO... 6.29 X 6.38 is out of round... :knockout:

Depending on the inclusion- feather or white inclusions could be essentially eyeclean as a SI2. You have to work with a great vendor and have them help you find ine

There are SI2 stones that are eye clean.

when you get to my age they all look eye clean... ::)

My age, too, although I think that there are some SI2s and definitely I1-3 that wouldn't be eye-clean to me!
