Just having a browse online at rings ( as you normally do lol) and came across this lovely ring.
I'm no expert on diamonds but what would you expect to pay for it?
It's 1.85 carat
Vvs2
11.5mm and 7mm

Thankyou x

I feel the stone is a lower color and the cut isn’t great so I wouldn’t buy it.
to make it worth while I’d wanna see it dirt cheap

Is the stone certified? And what is the metal? All of that would make a difference for me

Given that its EGL I would assume the color and clarity are waaaaay off, so maybe N color, SI1 clarity in terms of comparable stones. Plus there's a large bowtie and the stone looks mushy. I likely just wouldnt buy it, but there are stones of that approx size for around 3500-3900 online.

eBay can have deals believe me I base my collection on them but you always want to consider the source / seller. This seller clearly sells jewelry. They have their own weirdo rubber hand. A reseller on eBay isn’t going to be a “steal “ like say some random guy selling is inheritance or a pawn shop that specializes in ammo.
Now of course those will be less reputable and more of a risk.

Thankyou! I will do my research, they wanted 4k for it and thought I would check here first. I had that feeling at back of mind so thought I would ask here first of all. I'm glad I did!

I don't think 4k is a horrible price for that, although I think I would prefer a smaller stone that had a more pleasing cut.
