What would you do?

I made my first purchase from Daniel Stair about a week ago. I was 2nd in line for a 1.8ct Green Tourmaline.
Well the other person decide they didn''t want it so I jumped on the chance to purchase it.

So, my current dilemma is I am not sure how to set it. I can either set it in an old setting I have or have a 3
stone ring made with my trillions. What would you do?

Thank you everyone for your responses so far. The trillions are winning by a long shot. Keep the opinions coming.

My DH told me to put it in the setting however I have been tossed up. So, I had to bring it to the experts for more input.

Normally I love E/W but in this case the N/S w/ trillions gets my vote. Proportions are better that way IMO. Love it!

Not sure about the trillions - could be a bit too big altogether. If you have bigger hands it could work, but otherwise I''d probably go for the existing setting. But that''s just me.

I absolutely think East/West with trillions!!! Gorgeous, unique, and great finger coverage. I plan on doing the same design some day for a right hand ring (originally SO and I planned on that design with a sapphire center for my engagement ring, but we ended up falling in love with a different setting).

Totally agree - it''ll look very substantial. The east/west option might be a very wide ring?
