What would you do?

I do think this is more than just a ride to the police station ... so if it were me I'd want to be sure I understood what I was taking on, because it will definitely require having the bandwidth to take the whole thing on ... I'm not suggesting not doing it, but just putting it out there that likely you will be involved for more than just a car ride (i.e., time and energy and crisis handling).

I'm glad you're helping her, HC. As a follow up, you might gently ask her about her medical care situation and encourage her to see her doc (if she feels comfortable) or help her find a different medical provider. Her care should be kept confidential but when someone is a minor and under their parents' insurance, at least in the US, the parent may know that the child was in to be seen and that could raise some issues for her (not sure of her home situation). It may be too late for a SAFE exam that could be used to collect evidence, but having someone to help her with other aspects (mental health, STD testing, etc.) that she trusts would be good. When I was a primary care doc I took care of patients, both women and men, dealing with the longer-term after-effects of assault but am not a SAFE examiner, but knew which hospitals had someone on staff so I could get a person to the right place and not make them get unnecessary exams/testing/etc.

@House Cat, I hope you are doing ok. When I read your post last night of course my first thoughts were getting the young woman the help and emotional support she needs immediately. She has a hard road ahead of her.

Dealing with everything you have been dealing with this past month would be overwhelming for anyone. I hope you are doing well and I hope your son is doing well too.

Sending good thoughts and support your way.

Thank you @Calliecake. We’re taking things one day at a time around here. I hope you’re doing well too.
