If you have a choice of two stones:
0.50ct with 1.2 HCA with EX/EX/EX on Light Return, Fire, and Scintillation.
0.70ct with 1.2 HCA with EX/EX on Light Return and fire, but Very Good score on Scintillation.
Both have a very good spread.

Which will you choose? Help pls.

Thanks!!!

I would go with the .70 because that is almost 50% larger then the other stone plus it''s still a very well cut stone and is going to shine and sparkle very very well.

Can you post all the info for both please and the colour and clarity for each? Both GIA graded?

Here is the info for the 0.50ct. This is an ideal cut, ideal light performance, ideal polish and symmetry.
Measurements = 5.15-5.22x3.17mm

Here is for 0.70ct. It is an ideal cut, ideal light performance, ideal polish and symmetry. Measurement: 5.79-5.82x3.52.

The HCA graded 0.50ct as EX/EX/EX/VG and 0.70ct as EX/EX/VG/VG. Both scored the same 1.2 for HCA.

I''m sorry for being so anal about this, maybe I shouldn''t but this is going to be my very first diamond, so I just want everything to be just so. Does anyone know what I mean?

Please help me. Thanks!!!

No opinion? Please anyone?

Hi Joelly,

I will just take a look for you!

Ok, these are both excellently cut, I would probably choose the larger one as to me the increase in size would be worth it.

What are the colours and clarities for each?

.70 gets my vote...

They would have the same personality and look similar, just one is bigger assuming both had equal levels of optical symmetry and no painting or digging.

Do you have any images?

I vote for the larger stone. The specs are pretty similar and will probably look so to the naked eye.

Thanks Joelly,

Still the larger one for me!

0.7c for me.

Bigger one without question........
