Hi there. I''m new to this forum but I think I''ll probably fit right in. I have a bit of a dilemma though and thought maybe you all could help. I have an 85 pt RB diamond, J color, SI1 clarity and very good cut diamond that I''ve inherited and I''m not sure what to do with it. I''m thinking of maybe a bezel set right hand ring but not sure if the color would be a problem?
I already have a 1.5 carat solitaire, an anniversary band, diamond earrings and a 1 carat princess solitaire as well as a wedding band, so I don''t want anything else for my left hand! Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Welcome to PS! I think that size diamond would be perfect in a bezel set pendant. Either with a very thin bezel similar to the Tiffany Diamonds by the Yard setting, or with the Bellerina setting from Whiteflash that was actually designed by 2 PS members. http://www.whiteflash.com/Fine-jewelry/Pendants/The--Bellerina---SETTING-ONLY_1114.htm The Whiteflash site says the pendant is for .5 - .75 carat stones, but members have had them made to fit larger stones.

If you prefer a ring, I think a semi-bezel setting would be great if you don''t want side stones. It would also be gorgeous with sapphire (or other color) pear shaped side stones. (There is another PSer who has a stunning trellis style ring from Whiteflash with a round diamond center and sapphire pear sides that is just stunning, but I am having computer issues and can''t find the image right now.)

Before I even read Belle''s reply I was thinking Bellerina pendant. SO beautiful and classic!

What about a setting like this for a RHR? link

I like all these ideas. If I go with the RHR idea, does anyone have pics of semi-bezel settings? I like the one with the halo as well, though I''m still worried the J color might look yellow-ish next to other diamonds?
