Pick your favorite or share them all.

There were a lot of great ones in 1965. Hard to choose a favorite.

"My Girl" by the Temptations

"Unchained Melody" by The Righteous Brothers

"I'll Never Find Another You" by The Seekers

"I know a Place" by Petula Clark

"Back in my Arms Again" by The Supremes

"Eight Days a Week" by The Beatles

and so many more.

Please share some #1 songs the year you were born.

Love the Stylistics.. so many great songs.

1976: I can most relate to the number 2 : Don't Go Breaking My Heart

(My fave version is the one with Miss Piggy)

In the week I was born the Number one was Saturday night by the Bay City Rollers.

Brings back a lot of memories. That was one of the hottest song when my now wife and I started dating. I was a Jr in HS. The best songs are from the 70's! ..

It was a Bee Gees banner year.

And as a short people, I gotta love...Short People
My mom and dad used to sing it to me when I was little, because I would always complain I couldn't reach anything.
I still can't.

I grew up in the seventies and I have to agree with @Dancing Fire

The seventies had great music.

The two longest running number-one singles of 1982 are "I Love Rock 'n' Roll" by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and "Ebony and Ivory" by Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder, which each stayed at the top for seven weeks. "Physical" by Olivia Newton-John concluded a ten week run that began in 1981.

We saw Joan Jett a few times in concert the most memorable one being at the Stone Pony a number of years ago. Maybe 2003? It was thrilling. Love that song so much.

"Save The Last Dance For Me" by the Drifters

I'm so old, music hadn't been invented yet.
We just grunted and banged our clubs together.

Here’s the top ten for 1984 and I love so many of them. Footloose and Karma Chameleon are two of my favorite “happy go lucky” car songs. You know the ones that make you turn up the volume and belt it out at the top of your lungs while doing a fun chair-centric dance routine, head bob and all. :D

In 1964, the top Billboard hit of the year was "I Want to Hold Your Hand".

But on the day I was born, a MUCH better song was on top,
"The House of the Rising Sun" by the Animals. Eric Burden's voice is legendary.
