I don''t know WHY I think of the holidays in terms of food

Easter always means Reese''s peanut butter eggs and the sweet tarts in the shape of ducks, rabbits, etc. to me.

Christmas is Andes Candies and nonpareils (specifically white chocolate mini ones with red and green sprinkles from the local candy store). And boxes of nondescript candy that people always give out.

Halloween is every candy of course, but also oreos with orange stuffing, even though I don''t like them. And the Little Debbie pumpkin shaped smiley face cookie things.

Valentines Day for me are red gummy cherry flavored hearts that I always have trouble finding. The little red heart suckers are an ok backup.

Thanksgiving, well, hmmm...mocholate?

Christmas= bell shaped reeses peanut butter cups, because DH loves them, so I always put them in his stocking.

Valentines day= Gross, dry heart shaped candy that look like chalk and pink, red, and silver hershey''s kisses.

St. Patrick''s Day= Gold chocolate coins

Easter= Pastel candy coated chocolate eggs or robin''s eggs (my favorites!), as well as anything bunny shaped. I used to love cadbury eggs when I was little, but they gross me out now.

Halloween= Everything!! But specifically, mini milkyway candy bars- I always raid my niece''s and nephew''s candy bucket for them!

PEEPS belong to Easter! ( I don''t recognize them any other time.)

Character wrapped chocolate pieces for Christmas. Hershey Kisses in red and green. Ribbon candy and that other old fashioned hard stuff. Don''t know what it is called, but it is Christmas to me.

Candy Corn the the end of October.

Necco candy comment hearts for Valentines, you know- Be Mine, Youre Sweet, etc. Red Hots too.

The rest for me, needs no holiday or special day to enjoy! Especially CHOCOLATE. Always in season!

Gulp.

Valentine''s Day = Cinnamon jelly hearts

Easter = Starburst jelly beans, pastel candy corn and chocolate bunnies

4th of July = hot dogs, hamburgers, chips

Halloween = candy corn, Indian corn, candied apples

Thanksgiving = turkey (which I sadly can''t eat)

Christmas = lots of baking supplies to make my own cookies and cheesecake

New Year''s Eve = Chex Mix

I associate almost every holiday with Chex Mix and M&Ms. My parents always had those out no matter what the occasion.

christmas-mint non pareils and oranges
valentines day-cinnamin red hots and candy sweethearts
easter-cadbury mini eggs and good jelly beans (not brachs)
fourth of july-those red/white/blue rocket popsicles

Halloween - mini snickers bars
Thanksgiving - pumkin pie
Christmas - see''s candy because we''re given a box every year
V-day day - little Necco hearts
Saint Patricks day - beer (hehehe)
Easter - cadbury eggs
Forth of July - um, hmmmm. . . low-quality hot dogs? lol

It''s amazing how many foods were scrumptious when as a kid, but now taste nasty. Definetely Cadbury eggs. Another include Twinkies. We watched Zombieland and I totally had to have a Twinkie after that and man, did they taste GROSS! My kids liked them, though, but I tossed the extras b/c of how they stay in one''s body for 10,000 years.

Hmmmm...I don''t eat much of this stuff, but as far as things that come instantly to mind, I''d say:
New Year''s -- champagne
11.gif

Valentine''s Day -- candy hearts and Russell Stover chocolate in heart-shaped boxes
St. Patrick''s Day -- green beer!

Easter -- Cadbury Creme Eggs and Peeps
4th of July -- ice cream
Halloween -- candy corn
Thanksgiving -- turkey-shaped sugar cookies
Christmas -- Lindt truffles (my parents always put them in my stocking)

Most of my favorite holiday treats are homemade (real eggnog, pumpkin pie, innkeeper pie, Christmas cookies, macaroni and potato salads). I guess you CAN buy most of those things, but the storebought kind isn''t nearly as good.

I LOVE cadbury eggs!
