Just purchased this ring. J color, VVS2 excellent cut, 1.16 ct surrounded in a double halo. I love the ring, but it truly is an e-ring (I am married, my e-ring is an asscher cut solitaire 1.06 ct). I am wearing on my right hand but feel like maybe I should re set it or make it into something else? Any thoughts or suggestions? Is it too much for a RHR? image.jpg

The ring looks beautiful on your right hand. You say you love it, so that’s the most important thing. I would wear it and enjoy it.
It certainly doesn’t look like “too much”. Since you just got it, you may need just need some time to get used to it.

Wear it on your right hand. It looks great! Or wear it on your left hand, if you feel like it. I usually don't war more than one ring at once and I like them best on my left hand ring finger. So I actually wear all my "right hand" rings on my left hand because otherwise I wouldn't get to wear them at all. And since I love rings so much, that would be awful.

I’m in the same boat, I LOVE rings so much. Just don’t want DH to take offense, he isn’t a jewelry guy and doesn’t get it

I like it for a RHR also but if you're not into that I'm sure the right jeweler can look at taking the shank off the setting and turning
it into a double halo pendant...we need a pic of the side view.

Ah, I see. If you feel it‘s too much as a right hand ring it would also make a beautiful pendant! But is indeed a beautiful ring as is!

The double halo helps to make it versatile. You can easily rock that on your right hand and no one would bat an eye. It's just very new, sparkly, and fancy and that is unduly drawing your attention right now. Give it a few months, if you still feel the need for change, then it will be the right way to go.

Hi @sbliss6 -

I like it as a RHR. The way it's set and hugs your finger makes it look like the diamond version of a signet ring.

I'd leave it and enjoy. It sounds as tho your asscher is much more engagement-y looking, so this, with that, is a lovely combo.

And....<politecough>...a photo of your asscher wouldn't be a bad thing.....

I think it looks lovely as a right hand ring. It’s a beautiful style that can work either way.

Very true! I do love it so I will keep it as is. I can always change later. Also here is my asscher! Model shot from my wedding :) 1.06ct E color VVS2.E63D82E9-E47C-4E2C-B3B5-96FA6BCFBCD5.jpeg

It’s beautiful! I love your whole set. The photo is wonderful!

Very beautiful! And thank you for sharing all your lovely pieces. :))

The double halo setting is so versatile, it can be an engagement ring or a rhr or a pendant or earrings or…
It looks perfect as a rhr, enjoy!
I love your wedding set btw.

I agree with every post I read up above -- there are no *actual* rules for this sort of thing. I think it's great.

Maybe if it were a RBC solitaire in a plain YG band, someone may think it had been a loved one's.

Worst case: you got double-barreled e-rings -- no one's gonna mess with you!

It looks lovelly right where it is

its a mind thing
they are all your fingers to do exactly what you want to with and to decorate as you want to

who cares if it may look like an ER
So what ?
Only you matter and what you like to look down on, on your hand

But Its just so darn sparkly it won't like being left at home

I haven't read the other responses so apologies if I'm repeating someone else's advice, but if you're worried that it looks too engagement ring-ish to wear on your right hand ring finger, would it feel better to wear it on your right middle finger? I personally would wear it on my left or right hand on any finger....there are no rules with jewelry!

I do think it would be lovely as an alternate e-ring for your left hand, for those days when you feel like switching it up! It's nice to have choices 8)

I wear a 2.18ct RB solitaire in a plain 18k YG band on my right hand. It looks like an ER because it is….or was!

If I didn’t wear it as a RHR it would sit in the safe and that would be just plain sad.

Wear it as a RHR and enjoy, it looks beautiful.

He'll most likely come around if you gently and lovingly explain that you just happen to love rings and sparkles and while nothing will replace your E-Ring, wearing multiple pretty things at the same time makes you happy. I do believe our husbands just want us to be happy and a little loving communication with them goes a long ways. :)

It’s lovely as a right hand ring :kiss2:
