What to do with Pet Pebble? (1.12ct OEC)

I have a bit of an issue with very pretty sparklies. I love old cuts and finding those with really nice cuts is a needle in a haystack. So when I see one at a good price I have a very bad tendency of taking it home with me  . That's the case of Pet Pebble, I was looking for something else but she was way to pretty to resist.

As you can see the old setting was swallowing her whole so I had to liberate her! I ended up resetting her into a rose gold solitaire with a square white gold head.

I have loved wearing her these last few months but I recently broke up with my fiance. I am no longer comfortable with wearing a solitaire, even on my right hand since I keep getting questions about my status and why we broke up, etc.

So now I am at a crossroads as to what to do with her.

Stats are 1.12 ct (weighed while being reset) OEC I SI1 (eye clean) 6.58 x 6.46 x 4.37mm no flouro. The I is conservatively graded.

I was originally thinking about doing a 5 or 7 stone since and I have been hoarding a matching set for that purpose. I'm feeling a bit cocky about that set actually :Up_to_something: , it's composed of pretty much perfect matches. All are proper OEC with high puffy crowns, small tables and same size culets. They are all conservatively graded I VS/SI (eye clean).
- 2 x ~4.7mm (currently set in bezeled earrings, so don't have exact mm and weight)
- 2 x 3.4mm, weighing 0.21ct and 0.19ct
- 2 x 2mm, weighing 0.07ct togheter

Excuse my really bad photography, trying to show the graduation of the stones:

The aren't properly aligned, so some look wonky, but in reality they are all round.

Now the problem is I already have a five stone that I am happy with and don't want another, I want colour! :lickout:

Gah what should I do?!

Also my dream would be to get a big three stone with a colored center. Unfortunately, my budget would not cover getting a match for Pet Pebble to use as side stones.

So I'm strongly considering maybe selling her and buying a smaller pair (5.5-6mm) to use as side stones.

How awesome that you've gathered such a beautiful set of matching stones! I'm so jealous!

What about a graduated DBTY?

Or a pendant with a big gorgeous colored stone pear suspended from your pebble?

What about setting the stone into a pendant? That can be done relatively inexpensively and be worn right away and then you'll have some time to think about a long-term design for a ring... or maybe you'll find you love having it as a pendant!

I really like the pendant idea! It could be done fairly inexpensively, and you'd have it around for something later if you change your mind or get a great idea, :)

Can you say where you got your square setting from?

I also like the pendant idea. And the pear colored stone combined with Pet Pebble in a pendant. Maybe a nice big hot pink mahenge spinel pear that would make Pet Pebble look tiny by comparison

Also gotta say, I *love* the name Pet Pebble! So jealous of people who cam come up with perfect names. Awesomeness :rodent:

The stone with gemstone sides.
