What to do with old diamond???

I have a .75 princess cut diamond from a prior marriage and I would love to do something with it so I can still wear it. I tried to take pictures but no luck there, I will try again later. The diamond is set high with 6 princess cut diamonds set on each side. The total weigh is over 1 ct. This ring at one time had certs but that was lost in the divorce years ago. So my question, can I get this recerted and if so who should I trust with this ( I am very untrusting with my treasures). Also i am looking for a delicate floating setting with or with out using the side diamonds in it. This diamond is eye clean, and remember it being a SI1 with a color grade of F and I want it set in White gold. I am having trouble finding something to use it in that won''t take away from my current ring. That ring is a H & A, G color .73 set in a catherdral white gold band. Very plain so I am afraid of making my old one to flashy to wear with it on the other hand. Don''t want to upset the new husband ya know! Any ideas send them my way!

Do you want to make it into another ring? If not, a pendant might be fun. Or maybe a right hand 3 stone ring flanked by colored stones, like sapphires?

Yanno I''d normally say "pendent" but that would kind of "feature" it in a way that might not be comfortable. Kinda "in the face" of your new hubby.

No I want it in a ring! I am not a huge necklace or earing person but love rings. My baby pulls on them and also I am a really active person so it would probably get lost if it were something I would need to take off often like a necklace. I would love to later in life pass this is my oldest daughter from that previous marriage. I hate that it is just sitting in the box right now it is really a beautiful ring in which I picked out and purchased myself.

Ok, how about a 3 stone ring with the diamond in the center, and your daughter''s birthstones on each side? This way you can wear it for now as a mother''s ring, then when she''s old enough, you can give it to her and it will be meaningful.

Hmm I like that idea and her birthstone is Peridot so that would look nice. Maybe a pressure setting with some peridot chips down the sides. I dont'' want the diamond to look too engagement ring looking or sit to high. I will have to look around at some sites. Any ideas of who might have something like that to put it in???

Maybe you could make a deal for a pair of diamond earrings that you could wear a lot that would not remind anyone of where they came from. The pendat would sort of be "in his face"., but a new pair of earrings would be a winner and may cost you nothing out of pocket.
