Maybe you could look into a trainer who does "Board and Train". The dog stays with the trainer at their house for a period of time. I think that might be another option. We were going to do this with one of our dogs years ago, so we looked into it. It was strictly for training, not any bad habits. But trainers also work on problems. Just a thought. It gives the dog another perspective and something you could build on afterward.
