What to do about this horrible experience with a jeweler?

Mela lu,

I''m so sorry you have to go thru this! But take heart, you definitely NOT alone. I''ve also encountered a jeweler who stuck by her ring-from-hell workmanship. Thank goodness your ring is in good hands now! Hope everything turns out well.

Like, a blob of white gold ON TOP of the wee diamond!! We couldn''t believe it - but didn''t even care because we were more interested in getting out of that hack shop and over to a true professional.

I''m so sorry. Honestly, WHY are some people in this business??!!

Don''t answer that.

THanks for all the feedback and support everyone!
I too didn''t trust wearing it...and it''s in the safe hands of my real jeweler.

I''ll post again when I get it back, safe and sound and to perfection!

Wow, that looks terrible! (Your ring is beautiful, though!) I''m glad you''re getting it fixed and I hope you''ll post the name of the jeweler who did that to your ring so others won''t go there.

I think this person must have apprenticed under the same person as Ellen''s "He Who Shall Not Be Named"! Egads!

I''m confused though, why is it a good thing that THEY didn''t charge YOU for THEM losing a melee from YOUR ring??? They should have reimbursed you for that even if it was only a few dollars, IMO. They were totally negligent. I hope you will file a complaint with the local BBB. People need to know about these people so they can make an educated decision on whether or not to leave their jewelry with such butchers.
