What to ask the appraiser?

So... the Leon Mege e-ring I ordered is on its way. Thanks to everyone on this board who has given me such valuable insight during this process! I'll likely be taking the ring to have it appraised sometime next week. I believe I've found an appraiser I'm comfortable with. Besides the obvious things, (does the stone match the cert, etc), what types of questions do you recommend I ask the appraiser. I'm doing a "while you watch" appraisal so I'll have the opportunity to interact with the appraiser directly. I'll only have this opportunity once so I'd like to take advantage of it to get the most information possible about my ring.

Any ideas on unconventional or especially insightful questions I should ask?

I somehow missed those threads earlier. Also, thanks for not saying something along the lines of "just use search, you loser".

I used the comprehensive list you guys came up with as a basis for the list of questions I took with me to my appraisal. Once I get the final written report I'll likely do a review for those in my area who might be looking for appraisal services.
