Me too, but I thought that daylight savings doesn't qualify as time zone designation.

GMT+2 but in the Southern Hemisphere.

Small town South Africa.

Come on, people! What time is it where you are?

Eastern Standard Time in the Midwest United States.

So UTC+5. Do you have daylight savings?

FI is from California and I definitely know that's UTC+8, and that there's daylight savings.

I'm in the EST of the Northeast in the US.

What does UTC stand for? It's very confusing having all these different times like EST and Pacific time... I always though GMT was the standard...

GMT stands for Greenwich Mean Time and is the time at 0 degrees of longitude.

Greenwich is a very pretty place on the outskirts of South East London - well worth a visit if you are ever in the UK (has a fantastic jewellers) especially the indoor market at weekends. Also beautiful parks - they're holding most of the equestrian events in the Olypmics there next year.

GMT+8 here in western australia
It is 4.30am. I really wish i knew how to sleep in .... :snore: :snore:

GMT +2 for now!

I'm in the Twilight Zone. Okay, kidding. Moved from Pacific time to Central time.

Pandora, UTC stands for Universal Coordinated Time. I think it's the accepted standard for time zones so that people don't end up using their own terminology according to where they live, e.g. GMT, Pasific, Eastern, etc.

Sorry Pandora. EST is Eastern Standard Time. I live north of Boston, Massachusetts. We're 5 hours behind Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).

Because we have Daylight Savings Time here, we're in EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) right now. http://www.timeanddate.com/library/abbreviations/timezones/na/est.html

:)) :read:  :twirl:

We're in GMT -5

I'm always happy to hear about a jeweller recommended by PS. Can you share the name please?
