Something with sq.cut diamonds & modern? not sure what would be the best compliment. Everything I already have doesn't seem to go too well. I would like to enhance the stone without overpowering it. So far I'm just wearing it with 2 very thin spacers, which is OK, but it looks a bit "sparse".
Thanks, PS. I've been "blingafied".

Looks lovely!
If not on it's own, I'd probably try to echo the shape with an eternity of EC/squares. Or maybe an end on end baguette eternity.

add more pics plse!!

Asschers are an antique cut! So I'd personally go with either a baguette or carre cut band, or one of the antique style bands with alternating shapes.

I'll attach a picture of the BK band, but on my round and baguette band thread on Show Me the Bling, there are other brands and sizes. I am having one custom made now with sapphires from Caysie van Bebber.

What is the width of your e-ring shank? Because I have a 2mm Legacy band and it is almost too narrow with my ring.

I would go try some on! with my new EC, I have a few different ones I just bought and love...a carre cut band, sapphire squares w round diamonds and a vintage partial eternity with rounds in square milgrained boxes. But I own similar to the BK baguette/round and I don't love it for some reason with my ring. I think you should try some if you can because you never know what you might love!

For what you want(modern), I would suggest chanel set carre cut eternity band. I also have an asscher engagement ring and because my setting is antique inspired, I find that my carre cut band looks a little off and too modern for my setting.

I think asschers look great with contrast. The reason I recommended the band I did is because it has both rounds and baguettes. And that way you get contrast of large and tiny facets. It works with will asschers. PLUS while that band does have a small amount of milgrain, it is still very modern. I know, I've seen it in person and it's a chameleon, next to a modern setting it looks modern. Next to a vintage piece is looks vintage.

The shank is 2mm and tapers to 1mm at the head.

Jimmianne, it is so hard to tell what will look good without trying them on. I would go try some on locally then order something online with a decent return policy. Your ring is very pretty.

Thanks, Marcy. I will try some on.
I like the ideas that are coming up here - alternating round and baguette diamonds with milgrain.
It would work with my EC AND my OEC...and I would only need one band.

I really like that style of band - I hope you find one you like. Have the fun is finding something you like. :appl:

Beautiful Asscher and Setting! love those tabs. I agree with some sort of contrast, after having a couple of asschers myself I find that having something that also breaks up the Lines of the setting/asscher steps helps the asscher take center stage. Maybe some sort of scalloped band, that is not channel or straight across.. not sure if that made sense. Your last picture with the channel set round actually makes your asscher appear much smaller  to my eyes.
I've had a ton of sets and bands, but my favorite sets are non matchy bands.. how do you feel? do you like non matchy or would you rather it look more like one piece?

I would love to see this band with your asscher...

Your input has gotten me on the right track. I really could not get a picture in my mind :wall: of what would look right and now I do.
