What size AVC (other antique cushion) to choose AT LEAST???

Hi, I have seen many of the gorgeous AVCs and other antique cushions out there and would really love to get one myself. I know it is question of preference and of course budget, but just to get a feeling for it - what would you consider a good size to get? I mean in order to see clearly the chunky facets and have great presence? It is difficult to wait, but the good news is the longer I wait the bigger the budget gets (very slowly, plus so do the prices but well...). So what would you say is already a YUMMY size for an AVC???

For me, with old eyes and all, my minimum size starts at 6 mm so I can see the chunky facets clearly without having to squint or hold my finger up very close to the eye.

Many thanks Chrono I have many times heard the famous the bigger the better with these cuts... and I am not really into upgrades, so I am thinking what is the right choice - get it, or wait for the budget to grow right now there is nothing in my specs, so the waiting is a bit easier.

There's currently an N colored 3 carat AVC for sale with GOG. If I were looking, I'd snap up that beauty in a heartbeat. Having looked at a LOT of AVC's in person, 8mm in both directions is the smallest I'd go. I know that pushes you into the stratosphere, price-wise, but for my eye, that's where my sweet spot begins.

The bigger the better as you can appreciate the faceting more the larger they get.

Hmmm... I fully agree - as with the sweet spot, so with the stratosphere dimension Unfortunately out of my budget. Would you not mind the N color?
