what should the diameter of these stones be????

Ballpark - what would I expect to find the diameters are. I am trying to figure out which ones to put - prong set - in a band...which would show, but not make to band to think or bulky?

About sizes..

.03ct - 2mm (or slightly less)

.05ct - 2.3mm

.07ct - 2.6mm

.10ct - 3mm

Depending on setting style, the width of the band may end up somewhat more than the diamonds' diameter. A channel set could be about 2mm wider than the stones... and a shared prong band will be as wide as the stone... as far as I immagine. I would not consider the 0.1-s too much for any style if the band is suposed to be alone on the finger.

Thanks for the info - I am considering a ring like Leota's - see pic here. She used .03's in the band and I wanted to have an idea of how wide it was. Her ring size was very small compared to mine (5 3/4) - so I didn't know if I had to go larger on the stones for the band...you think .10 will be too big?

Actually, the difference in size would not be otrageous. I supose Leota's decision for the width of the ring band has allot to do with the ize of the other stones in the ring. I hope she does not mind my tampering with the respective picture... Here's how a band with 0.1cts stones would look in comparison.
