What should I offer from a private seller for the following:

Measurements: 5.91 - 5.93 x 3.51 mm

Carat Weight: 0.75 carat
Color Grade: F
Clarity Grade: VS2

Proportions:

Table: 60%
Girdle: Thin to Slightly Thick, Faceted
Culet: None

Finish:
Polish: Very Good

Is this a good diamond or should I move on? If it is good what is it worth?

Thanks

it is 0.75 ct

I have listed all the info from the cert. It is from 2004 so I can't run a HCA.

Here's a search I did for diamonds with comparable stats to what you have. Looks like retail is $3000-$3500 with one up at almost $5K. Add in that yours have the MBF and I would say retail would be somewhere around $4000ish.... so I would pay at most around $2000, and also get an independent appraisal to look at the cut quality and make sure the age/use of the stone hasn't affected it's durability. Have you seen it? Can you take it to compare to other well-cut (AGS 000 ideal) .75ct stones in your area? If you can do that comparison then you can let your eyes make the decision if it is a good purchase.
