I have my grandmothers old diamond ring and I think I'd like to "remodel" it or atleast get it repaired. Here's some pictures of it, sorry they aren't good quality, they were taken with my cell phone. It is a row of 9 marquise cut diamonds (not very good quality, I don't know the specs though) and it's set in yellow gold. The stones are graduated too. Biggest in middle and get smaller on each side.

The middle diamond has fallen out, and the tip of that prong broke off. The setting is kind of worn and just old. I don't really like how tall the setting is either. Is there anything else you all can think of that I can do with these 9 small diamonds? I don't want to purchase any more stones, and I don't want to get anything too expensive made. I was thinking of maybe a lower setting in white gold, but how much do you think that would cost at a small local jeweler? If I just decide to get the prongs repaired I'd also have to get it sized down too. It's 14 K yellow gold and the jeweler I would take it to buys gold, so that would help me in the price if I decide to get a different setting.

I'd convert it to cash since gold is at an all-time high.
