What setting do you like best? Halos or 3 stone?

I was considering a platinum halo and wedding band set by Martin Flyer, but these styles caught my eye perusing Pearlman''s... I don''t see the need for a wedding band with this mounting, and it''s very striking.. there are three styles, two split shank and one regular. What do you think about this setting, and does it look ''complete'' by itself? I love the thin edge of the halo diamonds around the center stone, rather than an additional border of platinum beyond the halo diamonds.

And for something completely different, I''m also considering this ring. Not sure what style band to put with it though...

I hate being torn between two completely different settings. It makes me wonder how that''s possible!

Thanks!

Well, it''s all personal preference, but I like the first split shank the best. I really don''t care for the others. And I''d want the diamond sitting lower also. I definitely think it would look complete by itself.

I like the first split shank and the 3-stone equally in different ways. Have you tried any similar rings on in person? The vast difference in styles will *probably* be settled for you when you actually see them on your finger, if you haven''t done that yet. Either way, you''ll end up with a very drool-worthy ring, m''dear. You can''t make a bad decision with those choices.

Definitely love the first one the best. It would look find on its own without a wedding band too.

I like the first one the best. It would look great alone. I would set the diamond lower, though, for sure.

I''m not a big fan of any of those split-shanks, but I do like the 3-stone from WF. Of the 3 split-shanks, I prefer the first, but I''d like to see it bezel-set instead of prong-set so the diamond is flush with the halo. I don''t like high settings at all.

I tend to like split shanks without the halo and halos without the split shank. I think having both makes things a little too distracting for the center stone to shine through. However, I tend to like both halos and split shanks more then three-stones.

Out of the four I like the first the best too.

ditto for me too..

I hate being a "me too, me too!" person but I like #1 the best.

I do like that last 3 stone ring but it would never look good on my finger. Have you tried on 3 stone rings? Do they look good on you? If you don''t just LOVE the 3 stone look go with #1.

I am completely biased as I have a split shank halo ring

So I am completely loving number one. But as someone else mentioned, I would have it set low and bezeled so it is flush with the halo. And definitely try some on to see which look you like best on your hand.

Oh it''s possible alright... I''m going through the SAME THING! I know I want diamonds in the band, but... 3-stone or solitaire with halo or solitaire with no halo, shared prong or pave, Asscher or Jubilee or square H&A or X-Factor.... UGH... it''s driving me crazy!

Now, out of your choices I can make a decision...

#2 would be by first choice because I like how the split shank meets
#3 is my second choice because I like the look of double bands
#1 is my third choice because I don''t like the side view with the pave "v" as much as if it was straight across like in #2 and #3
#4 is my last choice only because personally I would like a pave band with it, but I do love 3-stone rings and think it is a beautiful choice... maybe with a diamond w-band it would be my first choice.
