Is it a traditional ring or a song?

Mine is "Sweet Pea" by Amos Lee. My girls break into song everytime it rings!

I have a different song for just about everyone I talk to regularly. My husband''s ring is "Man of Me" by Gary Allan ("loving you made a man of me") and sometimes it''s "Hello Darlin''" by Conway Twitty. My sis''s is some weird "Pick up the phone, your sister''s callin''", my other sis''s is "peanut butter jelly time" (because my nephew''s nickname is peanut butter). My best friend''s is "Glamorous" by Fergie, my dad''s is an old Waylon Jennings song. I have several more assigned to others.
 
I have Nelly Furtado Say it Right as my ringback tone and I have Natasha Beddingfield Pocket full of Sunshine as my ringtone. My tone for texts is Glamourous by Fergie and my voice mail tone is 867-5309 by Tommy Tutone. My older two kids HATE all of them.

Maisie, I love it but no one else seems to. They all complain and want me to change it; tough bazoobies I am NOT.
 
I love Nelly Furtado! I used to have The Black Parade by My chemical Romance but this really annoying bloke used to keep ringing me and I started associating that song with him so had to change it!
 
My current ring-tone is "Red Red Wine" by UB40. The only special tone I have is for my Dad. He calls me at least a couple times a day to check on his grand kids, etc. It drives me nuts but I love him and sometimes his calls get screened. His song is Ice Ice Baby just because I thought it was funny.
 
For most callers it''s Abba''s Dancing Queen. When my boyfriend calls it''s Aha''s Take on Me... long story. And then for a group of my best girlfriends it''s the movie/jazzed up version of the Sex and the City theme.

Mine is boring, ring ring (but unique sounding). Once it was Violent Femme's "Add It Up" and another time it was some song by Deathcab for Cutie "Sound of Settling". I like to have something others don't have or I get too confused (is that my phone?). hehe
 
Whenever SO calls me, it plays "Ribbon in the Sky" by Stevie Wonder, otherwise it''s just a normal ring tone.

On my old phone, I had "Don''t Stop Believing" by Journey. That was awesome.

Okay, did anyone else here actually have to phone their phone to find out? Anyone? Bueller? I was sure it was still Paint it Black by the Rolling Stones, but now it''s Soul Meets Body by Death Cab for Cutie. Maybe I should try changing it again (virtual nightmare with my web browser!).

not to hijack your thread, but I once had a ringtone of a meowing cat that sounded real. I have a friend who is a "crazy cat lady" and I set my phone up to meow whenever she calls.

Well I forgot that I had done that, and I was taking a college exam. I completely forgot to turn off my phone that day, and she happened to call. So my phone is meowing and everyone is looking around the room for a cat. I felt really bad and turned off my phone.
 
FI''s original tone was the opening riff to "Baba O''Riley".
My sister and my mom have the Pinball ditty from Sesame Street; the old animated skit with the Pointer Sisters going, "one two three four FIVE six seven eight nine TEN eleven Twelve, doo doo doo doo doot, doo doo doo DOOT" -- I''m sure some of you know it.
FSiL has a crazy rave/techno song because she''s so fun/wild.
I put my loved ones'' rings to "Nutcracker" songs at Christmas time.

My ring on FI''s phone (for when I call) is from "Swan Lake."
My FI is like the absent-minded professor. He''s really book smart but can''t/doesn''t want to figure out his (really basic) phone. So I hacked in and gave his nerdy (but great) BFF a really funny ring that cracks us up when it goes off.

Well, my poor phone is going on 5 years old, and so it doesn''t have the capability of hosting any of the jazzy song ring tones that are so popular. It still rings an electronic version of "chariots of Fire"
 
I used to use the Fraggle Rock theme song on my phone, but then had to upgrade when I couldn''t replace the battery that wasn''t charging. I used A-ha''s Take on Me for a while because I LOVE the song, then switched cell service and couldn''t get the same tone again.

What do I use now? Roxette''s The Look. "...She''s got the look/What in the world could make a brown-eyed girl turn blue?/ When everything I ever do, I do for you?..." comes jingling out of my purse and I always know it''s my phone. No one else uses it.

My mother uses the Immigrant Song on her cell for my bro - aaaaaaaah ah! For my dad, she uses I''m Too Sexy, LOL.
 
I have Katy Perry - I Kissed A Girl for my husbands ringtone. We heard on the way back home from Las Vegas a few weeks ago and we start giggling and singing when we hear it. It''s so catchy, it gets stuck in your head all day. I have a different ringtone for everybody else, and my dad has Dion''s Runaround Sue.

OMG, Equestrienne! When I was in college, we found a Roxette single tape of that song at the thrift store and we used to drive around our small college town in my friend''s 25 year old jeep singing along at the top of our lungs. LOL. That song is awesome.

for everyone else it''s the Sex and the City theme
and for text messages it''s "I Like It" by the Dixie Chicks because that was literally the only selection other than Goodbye Earl from my favorite gals

I have a Blackberry - can you even put songs on them? They don''t come with cameras or anything - although I could have had that with my soon to arrive upgrade.

They offered me SatNav or a camera on the device. Since I am incapable of getting anywhere in London without an A-Z and 4 phonecalls to FI that I''m lost and can he come and find me, I opted for the personal SatNav...
