I''m getting a
1.61
VS1 (all the flaws: 1 feather, 2-3 pinpoints are all on the edge of the stone)
F
Fluor: None
Symmetry: EX
Polish: VG
Depth: 60.6
Table: 56

This is considered IDEAL rated by GIA and the IDEAL scope looked IDEAL to me. What would the range be if this was to have a SARIN report usually?

GIA does not give an ideal rating as of now.

From my understanding...this is what is considered under GIA standards.

But I'm trying to find out what would be the equivalent under a SARIN report.
Hi Quincy.

A Sarin report is a scan of a single diamond that provides measurements such as table and depth percentage (you listed those in the original post). The Sarin also gives other measurements: Crown angle, pavilion angle, girdle, etc., as well as millimeter measurements for diameter and depth and carat weight of the diamond.

You can compare the numbers on the Sarin report to proportions charts from different labs to see how the diamond would fare under their grading systems. Typically you will need more than just depth and table percentages, which appear to be the only measurements you have been provided with (that is why you need a Sarin report run on your diamond - to get those missing measurements).

One grading chart to compare the measurements to is the one you linked above (the AGA cut grading system). The AGS has traditional 'ideal cut proportions' you can compare those Sarin measurements to. GIA does not have such a proportions chart, but does have an online cut estimator in beta mode. Instead of the GIA cut estimator I would suggest you use the Holloway Cut Adviser, personally. It will give you a good idea of predicted performance once you have the required measurements to plug in.
