So if you were 16-17-18 NOW instead of when you were, what dress would you pick that''s in stores now?

And NO BUDGET!!!!

Hee hee. Can we assume imaginary perfect figure? Or do we have to get something that would actually fit?

Freke, the dress you chose reminds me of the Vivienne Westwood wedding gown Carrie wore in SATC the movie--only "your" dress is much prettier!

I would've loved to have something short (knee length, not skanky short!) instead of floor length. Everyone was wearing full length dresses so I kind of had to go with the flow. I still think my dress was beautiful and classy, even 7 years later, and if I had to do it again with a long dress I would probably pick something very similar. I don't have a picture of mine to post, but it was black with spaghetti straps. There was a slit with white fabric inside the slit (kind of hard to describe) that can up to the top of the bust. So it was black with this cool vertical stripe of white, basically. Not too many girls were doing black prom dresses at the time so I thought I was all unique, but one girl ended up wearing the exact some one as me (and another had a similar one). Oh well. At least they weren't in the same year as me.

ETA: Freke, love that dress! I wish I would've had the guts to wear something like that in high school

Ha ha! Let''s do it! I forgot to add on the prom dress thread that your red strapless CL was stunning! Wait, was it LaCroix or Dior?

Keep in mind you''re talking to the woman that got married in a $300 dress from J.Crew and $50 Ann Taylor sandals, LOL!!

I don''t have time to check out dresses online at the moment, but I would almost certainly wear something by Marchesa. I have always, always loved their gowns, and even considered one for my wedding dress!

This one was a contender:

ETA: Not in bright red. Maybe a cranberry or gold...not sure.
