As we wrap up 2009 and welcome 2010, I was thinking about some goodies I treated myself to, and learned about - thanks to PS!

Which made me wonder, what wonderful things did you all learn about here on PS this year?

Did you end up treating yourself to any of them in 2009?

Is there anything you''re hoping to treat yourself to in 2010?

I''ll start!! I learned about the Clarisonic skin cleansing system (oooo! love it!!) as well as the Sparkle Spa (Santa brought it, but haven''t yet tried it)...
I haven''t thought about anything I''m daydreaming of just yet for 2010.

Thanks for sharing - and a very Happy New Year to everyone!!

I learnt about pearls and bought my first- cheap fresh water studs for myself and some as a gift for a friend.
I have be exposed to designer shoes.......but can''t afford them. Although the shoe oggling has made me go a little shoe crazy this season.

I like reading about was PSers think about products, films and books. There are some recipes on here I am wanting to try out too.

I learned about the DivaCup here and it changed my life. I bet you weren''t expecting that answer.

Do colored stones count? Because I learned about them here (like tourmalines and spinels, etc.) and treated myself, ahem, a lot.

And pearls too. I went on a pearl rampage this summer. OH and I learned about Bengal cats on PS, thanks to SanDiegoLady, and I got two! Haha talk about weird things to learn about and buy on PS!

i learned a lot about SEX on P.S.

Ooooo! JKT and Sally!!! I''m planning on getting projects started (and finished, hopefully!) with both of them in 2010!!!

Interesting!

I love reading all the hair & beauty tips as well as the recipes, although I must admit that I don''t cook all that often... Many of them are too complicated for me and I often don''t have much time to cook. So I tend to seek out the ones with 6 or less ingredients, which take 45 mins or less :)

lyra - I''ve never heard of the DivaCup but I''ve been checking it out (thanks to you!!) and appreciate you sharing this. Anything to make those wonderful days a bit more bearable...

I''ve learned lots of info about kitties, my little guy eats much better than most due to PS! Freke taught me how to make luscious buttercream frosting. Another vote for DivaCup here, too...I''m sure there''s more, I will try to think of things!

I''ve learned all about cupcakes, especially from Mara, Freke, Jas, and DandiAndi!

Not Rational Diaper Bags.

I also heard good things about Loreal Revita cream on PS so I figured I''d give it a go...
but it doesn''t seem to be doing anything for me after a good few weeks

I like getting new recipe ideas!

Cupcakes. And it''s all neatfreak''s fault. Cause she makes the best cupcakes I''ve ever had. Bar none. Fortunately I''m a remedial baker at best.

Purses. Before this place I was content with cheapo man made material bags. And yes, I''ve got my eye on a bag as I type.

Orange. For some reason, as a result of PS I''ve learned to appreciate the color orange. And had an orange wedding, have an orange bedroom, and want an orange handbag. And matching shoes. Have touches of orange through out the house. I blame MINE''s beautiful spess ring.

Colored stones. Still don''t know a ton. But yes, I will likely buy a few (have my eye on one, actually, but I think the funds are going to go to the handbag instead) in 2010.

I got advice on steam mops and which one to buy (Eureka Enviro Steamer) and I LOVE it!

My GHD IV Flatiron (love it!) thanks to DiamondFan and PennQuaker.

Designer handbags and shoes. Lots of other beauty products. Colored stones.

So, basically everything that is bad for my budget...

I learned a lot about colored gemstones. I indulged a bit in 2009 and I''m sure I''ll continue in 2010.

I''m loving the healthy living thread and can''t wait to get my a#$ in gear this year and lose some weight

Colored gemstones, for sure. Before PS I was one of those girls that would get stuff from Zales and like it, and think it looked great. Yeah, they totally don''t lol. Unfortunately, I now have a bunch of stones I can''t afford to set. Le sigh.

I also learned a lot about babies, since I have been hanging out in FHH a lot since I have been pregnant. And this is GOOD, because I was the baby of the family and had no clue about anything baby-related! Maybe now my kid will make it through the first year of life without me mucking it up too badly lol.

Oh, MP, you are? Big congrats ! Are you feeling O.K.? My little boy adds such joy to my life, it''s incredible.

What I learned about - free range eggs. Humane and the taste is far superior to regular eggs.

I learned how to behave myself.

Thank you! I am just now starting to get to the uncomfortable stage - I had no idea my belly would be in the way for so many things, like typing! I have to scoot back to bring out the keyboard tray, hah.

I had forgotten about the eggs! I remember following Steel''s thread about her chickens laying eggs.

And kenny, since WHEN do you behave?!

Gypsy, do tell! Which bag?

I''d also like to add that I learned a lot about cameras through PS - and since my first DSLR purchase, with the help of our AWESOME MonkeyPie, came on Dec. 31, I think I indulged myself in 2009

Ooohhh! I forgot, PS taught me about wedding photography (before I didn''t give a flying fishstick, I thought pictures were pictures
20.gif
) but I learned they could be so much more, gave me ideas, and let me really work with my photographer to capture our wedding in a way that felt like us.

Thanks pricescope!!!!

Too much to mention. Helps that I''ve been around long enough to get a sense of those posters who I respect, and always do searches for various things. This year I finally caved and bought the stinkin'' crockpot. Now I''m also going through a bunch of authors that PSers love. Of course, I could not live without my fellow PS toddler moms.

PS is my go to place for info...I always search first, then ask if there''s nothing already mentioned. 80% of the time, the info is actually already here....it''s trippy.

Hi BEG, it''s not a terribly exciting bag, as I own one already, but just one in a different color. It''s the Brahmin Eloise bag.
