What negative outcomes from wearing these two rings together

Re: What negative outcomes from wearing these two rings toge

I can d&t, and nfo suggested soldering, but I am really hesitant to do something permanent that will limit the option I guess? If it were not so pricey I would really consider a reset into a different style for the diamond band, like beadset in platinum:

Or bezelset.

I hope you can work something out so that you can wear them together because they really do look amazing together!

The diamond girdles will create a groove on the side of your half-bezel ring. It's unavoidable and most likely will not be able to be polished out as it gets deeper. Shared prong rings have their issues. They expose a lot of diamond and that's great for brilliance, but from a durability standpoint, they are not always the best option.

I would do one of the following:

1. Reset into a different style as you mentioned. Bezel, "bead-set" (pavé with channel walls) etc. will work. The metal will still rub, but that is not as bad as *diamond girdles* etching into platinum.

2. Space it by creating a stack and change the look entirely. I'm not keen on spacers for the sake of separating if they do nothing for the overall aesthetic.

3. If you absolutely must space, then an uber thin *knife-edge* band will give you the height and the slim inconspicuous look you desire.
