@JPie, do you think that the Bell and Bird boxes on their site are nice quality? Worth the price? I was obsessed with these the last time you posted. Then covid came and I forgot about them. Darn if I wasn't reminded again today!

I loved the two boxes that I had made three years ago, so when they offered the ring boxes early last year, I bought another one. I noticed right away that the quality wasn’t as good - uneven seams, glue showing, and a threadbare spot on the satin. They offered me a no-hassle refund and explained that they had one person making the boxes now instead of the team that made my original ones.

If you love them and they have a return policy, it could still be worth giving it a shot to see if it wows you in person.

I recently moved my jewellery collection to a larger property. I had it spilling out of a couple of places. I’ve got a dresser with “hidden” drawers in the top which I lined with jewellery inners. It’s SO much easier to select pieces and I wear a bigger selection now because of it. The the trays can lift out straight into the safe whenever there is no one home.

@JPie , Bell and Bird doesn't have any left and they longer make them. So I obsessed to find something of quality that was in the hundreds, not thousands! I found this antique Victorian rosewood box with inlaid MOP on ebay UK. The interior has been restored with beaded quilting. The pictures look nice. I will let yall know how well it is done when I get it. It doesn't have ring rolls though so I will have to figure that out.

They have about 4 more boxes with restored interiors in different colors.

I have four jewelry boxes but three of them are for costume/vintage stuff. Then I keep all the “good” stuff in this crazy red lips jewelry box. I bought this because it has multiple compartments and everything fits. Didn’t pay much for it.

The glass box is where the jewels of the day go at night. Found that one at an antique shop. Currently it houses my Queen of Hearts ring and the wax for the ring David is making me.

I usually keep my jewelry in a quilted pouch. I put each individual earring in a little jewelry zip lock bag... I then place it inside another bag with the other earring. Rings go into their own separate bags.It was beginning to make me crazy sifting through all the bags. I couldn’t actually see everything. I decided to get a cheap jewelry box that had lots of ring holders because I could see what I have and make a quicker decision. This box..although cheap is pretty nice. I still can fit it in my backpack when I go to my other house. I struggled with getting them to face up..No luck! I’ll see how this works out before I get a nicer one. This one is not bad. I really like it

I love this(!) and have never seen one that tics off all my boxes for what I would like to have in a jewelry box...especially for my rings. Do you mind sharing from who/where you purchased it!

@LorettaB I purchased this jewelry box because I wanted to try it out before buying a really good one. I liked it so much I just kept it. I throw it into my backpack. It’s plastic instead of leather but it’s actually better for me because it takes abuse. My rings stay secure even when it’s stored sideways. It was $25 dollars when I purchased it. It’s the Misaya ring storage jewelry box on Amazon. I bought the Lapis Blue but it doesn’t look like it’s available now. They do have other storage options.

Thank you! I'll give it a look. A lady who sells me most of my jewelry has almost insisted that I get a fire proof safe....telling me horror stories of lumps of gold found after a fire. Yikes!!

I have my backpack handy..I’d save my family first and then run for my jewelry box! The diamonds should be fine though, right? Haha
Edited to say I looked it up...Yes they can burn in a fire...I just saw a photo of a burned diamond from a house fire. They recut it losing weight but it looked perfect after the recut.

I keep my jewelry boxes in my oven at the house we stay at the most because we work in that area and it was my mother's home that she left to my sister and me after she passed away. They would not be that safe in the oven in the case of a fire. It's a vintage 70's or so.

However, on the other hand, my oven at the other house we own has a 1955 Chambers stove that I use, that I love, and it is solid cast iron inside. I still have the brochure from the Chamber company that suggests leaving "valuables" in the oven in case of a fire.....since it IS solid cast iron and weighs 400 pounds! So, when we're there mostly on weekends, my jewelry is safe and and I know it. I told my jewelry saleslady about it and she has since said she thinks about me putting my jewelry in a stove all the time!

From the sales brochure: "(you can even put your valuables in the cold oven when you are planning to be away from home - if the house catches fire, anything in that oven will be safe - literally!)."

I'm like you....the dogs will be safe if my husband is on the road and then the jewelry will be saved! (Family photos are digitized!)

A Mother’s Day present - this is a Chinese hardwood hand painted box that we had seen about six months ago...it has a small chip on the side but doesn’t bother me as my husband got a great deal on it he said... my first item is a Swarovski pen that my son and his girlfriend gifted me on Mother’s Day too... waiting to organize the box and fill it up with my keepsakes instead of real jewelry for now.... 54D3572E-AF31-4463-BC70-E11D692579D7.jpeg 99D01025-B312-4618-AE8D-4B4D741DE3E9.jpeg CD8E924C-9599-4CE4-9D20-D56F980989F9.jpeg C17ADE79-F0A1-4140-ADA1-1B8843963D7D.jpeg

My latest jewelry box addition is this wonderful antique that’s been redone in a koi pond theme:

In our house there is only one ring, but I think I've nailed the jewelry box thing. ;))

Thanks to another thread on jewellery boxes pointing me towards this brand, yesterday I received this Stackers box for my Birthday. It's dove grey with a Tiffany blue interior. Looking forward to transferring my pretties!

I know this is an old thread but information is still helpful. I purchased one of these several years ago and still love it. Mine is white..It looks beautiful and holds a lot of jewelry. They are from Laurie Grenier (Shark Tank lady) from QVC I believe. 012CDFE6-DB83-4657-9DB2-A9B178923638.jpeg E88615F6-4B64-4FCB-BC22-B586E47A8F44.jpeg

You can get a small one that is fire proof for so long to a certain number of degrees. I'd hate to end up with a lump of gold....that would be a nightmare.

NICE! I got a very similar one for my b-day this year from my bestie, mine has grey interior and is missing the right hand side bottom stack. I went and bought some separators for the top left one to also keep my loose stone jars in. They seem well made.
