What kind of dog is this?

I have no idea but he’s adorable!

He looks like a little mixed up kid! Adorable.

I agree. Very cute and probably a combination of several breeds. :))

We are looking for a playmate for our 5.5 year old girl, Emma. Emma is a rescue- probably a labradoodle or Poodle/Portuguese Water Dog. :kiss2:

IMG_3949.jpg Definitely a terrier. Likely a cross... looks a little like a wire fox terrier

But he also looks like the dog my MIL adopted-- dandy dinmont terrier

But hers is taller than this pic

Carin terrier?

I have no idea, but he's a cutie! He seem like a great dog, who could probably keep up with your girl, energy wise. Terries are smart dog.

I can't get the link to work but there are indeed Wheaten Terriers and Scottish terriers that are a Wheaten colour that exist as dog breeds.

It's Benji!!!!!!

Its a Bitsa, bitsa this, bitsa that :D

I will get a better sense of what Sprocket might be once I meet him this weekend. Thanks for playing along - it's fun to wonder what kind of mix this little guy is.

I think you should rename him "bitsa sprocket" lololol
@Austina

He is so cute - the only Wheaten part of him is the pale blonde ring around his snout, otherwise I'm going for bitsa as well....

Gorgeous. I can't tell how big he is though. He reminds me a bit of a Beardie.

So are you adopting him?

A gorgeous dog that’s what kind. :love::love::love:

About 26 lbs according to the website.

He is adorable!

such a sweet face. He's a definite Heinz 57:lol:

Very, very cute. He looks a bit like the Wheaten Terriers our next door neighbors had, but not exactly like them. He looks so soft and sweet!

mco312--I love Sprockets expression! He reminds me of my Jack (avatar). Jack is a bitsa as well, what they call a Daisy Dog (http://www.daisydogs.com) in my neck of the woods. Sprocket looks like he could have definitely terrior, maybe some lhasa apso, havenese, king charles? etc. Best of luck with Sprocket, would love to see more pics, he is one handsome fellow!!

That dog is the cute kind. Adorable!

Such a sweet looking dog with an intelligent expression! And I love his name. Hope he ends up going home with you.

Sarahb - Interesting - I have never heard of daisy dogs! They are adorable.

I will keep everyone posted on how the meet and greet goes. We hope to meet a few other rescue dogs this weekend and pick a friend to take home!

So... We took little man home on Saturday morning. The rescue named him Sprocket, but we are thinking of changing it to Teddy or Henry. :))

It's been a challenging weekend with the little guy. He has had a few accidents which seem to be him "marking", not just going where he shouldn't. We crated him the first night and he had an accident in the crate as well :(sad I'm hoping it was just his nerves, but we'll see.

Our first dog, Emma, has always been easy, so we are trying not to freak out 8)

Any advice on keeping a dog from marking (and on leash training) is welcome! We have been spoiled with our girl, Emma. I'm hoping her manners rub off on him!
