What jewelry items or gems make your heart beat a little faster, even if you're not in the market to buy?

So many beautiful diamonds, gemstones, jewelry pieces come to mind. So curious on which ones make your heart sing.

LOL! Far too many to list. I confess it—I'm a total magpie when it comes to sparklies and pearls. I see something. I want it. I leave the site (Instagram, Etsy, eBay, PS), and the "want" subsides. It's best if I avoid the aforementioned sites... :lol-2:

I’m pretty mad for pearls. And beautiful coloured gems. I think these are next on my list.

Imperial green Jade - the colour and size I like are beyond my reach; on top of that, Jade and I don't get on; so they are strictly "look and do not touch".

Antique old cut diamonds, Burmese rubies and Burmese blue sapphires. Must be Victorian period or older.

Any well designed jewelry with great gems, JAR Paris comes to mind.

the really high end pearls i will never own
the ones you can see your reflection in so clear its like a polished mirror
the ones that look like dishwashing liquid soap bubbles
and the Wilma Flintstones
the ones that look like oil slicks in the rain
i really enjoy looking at the pictures

carre cuts, esp. in band rings.

I turned this:

Into this by added 2 larger stones from the same parcel that were set aside for stud earrings:

The ring was too small for my chubby finger. Instead of resizing it to fit, I decided to repurpose the stones into a bracelet instead.

Two weeks ago, we were in Orlando, and the first thing I dragged my reluctanct husband to was the Mall at Millenia because I wanted to go to Bvlgari to see the Serpenti rings. We don't have Bvlgari where we live.

I tried the white gold ones, and they seemed underwhelming. Then I tried yellow gold and darn, it just popped! But I don't have anything yellow gold anymore. So I didn't buy, but still can't get it out of my head. I do have the associate's card because she was lovely and I'm still very tempted.

As an aside, for handbag lovers, the women's LV was packed, no Murakami. At the men's LV a few feet away, I was offered multiple Pharell P9 speedy's. Truly gorgeous. I had to tell the sales associate that I would love to buy one, but then, I'd have to lie to my husband forever about the cost.

So back to dreaming Bvlgari!

Pretty much any art deco ring. It's a miracle I haven't bankrupted myself!!!

A big fat chunky emerald cut diamond
or any big bright beautiful chunky antique diamond ring.
Makes my heart go pitter patter.
I love chunky monkeys so much...SWOON :kiss2:

I do not discriminate...any and all are welcome!!!
This is a delicious antique pear...hubba hubba hubba

Almost everything Harry Winston especially the CS range. Can never afford it but oh my it is fabulous!

This knockoff of mine gives me a thrill because this is as close as I’ll ever get!

Pink earth mined diamonds make me light headed and dizzy…..especially the Graff pink cushion cut diamond. I have tried to find that color in lab diamonds ( if it exists) but , after several attempts and returns of peachy or orangey pink or brownish pink lab diamonds , I have given up.
Also, me too…what Missy said! I swoon over antique EC diamonds and chunky old pears.
Sadly , a rose pink or Argyle pink diamond or , a 4 ct plus antique diamond will never be in my budget but they have stolen my blingy heart nonetheless !

Large unheated sapphires and ruby rings. Blue daimond rings. JAR pieces. Origin Raymond Yard Pieces.

Too many to list : ) At the top of my list: pearls, rubies, and blue sapphires.

Peruzzi cuts :lickout:
Antique Tiffany
Romantic Posy Rings
Antique pears
Rose gold
Diamonds + rubies
Perfectly preserved antique orange blossom rings
Kitty Baxter boxes

❤️ Tiny table pillowy shaped old mines with a flower in middle ❤️

I've always admired the Patek Philippe Calatrava.
Understated, classy, simple & clean.
Unlike the many watches today (more cluttered and busy than the cockpit of a commercial jet) it's easy to read at a glance.

Rather than screaming, it speaks calmly.

I doubt I'll ever buy another watch.
But if I did it's the only one I'd consider ... in platinum.
