I want a simple, yet elegant solitare platinum setting.

Currently I am thinking about this diamond:

In this setting:

I am new to all this, so forgive me, but is that setting of good quality? The price almost seems too low  Am I brining down this nice diamond with this setting, or is this setting perfect and I'm being paranoid?!
If you have a similar suggestion that you think is better, I'm all eyes!

Also, comments on the diamond are welcome. I really want a gorgeous diamond, and size is not an important factor for my LIW (quality is).

Thanks!!

i did a search on similar stones with the specs you provided and the price you found is in the ballpark. there were a few stones a little less. I would think the quality of the setting would be fine.

Thanks for posting the pics mrssalvo, guess I''m still figuring out the forum stuff....at least I got the links in there now

I have that setting. I did not get it from BN and did pay a little less than what they are asking for.

As far as suggestions, if you''re looking for a basic solitaire, that''s about as good as it gets! That was my idea when I got it, now I want something with side stones.

If your GF wants a solitaire and likes the simple clean look then I think it''s a good choice. It''s a narrow setting so it will showcase the diamond nicely.
