As for my first dance song, I think I''m going to go completely different from the usual and pick "Don''t Stop Believing" by Journey. That is, if I have the guts to do a fast song for our first dance! He worked the song into the proposal, so it''s particularly meaningful. If I wimp out and go with a slower song, it would probably be Journey as well, maybe "Open Arms" or "Faithfully."

Right now our first dance song is "Just the Way You Are" by Billy Joel...we''ll see if it stays that for the next 10 months!!

I really would like Queen, and I'll think we'll go with one of their songs...but we're throwing around the idea of "A Whole New World" yes...from the movie...but I'd do the...I think Peabo bryson version duet? Idk yet...I feel kinda silly but it's our fav. movie

Its not completely decided yet, but FI and I really like slow show by the national. Only thing is that it might be tricky to dance to (we will hire someone to teach us how to dance - we both have 2 left feet) and it has some bad words ( d*ck, and sh*t) but they are mumbled through in the song and I never noticed until I read the lyrics online so hopefully noone else would know.

what happens if you don''t have a song? we sort of have one but it''s not really wedding appropriate (more sad..it''s Grace by Neverending White Lights). We really like the song, "Just the way you look tonight" but I feel like it''s cliche and over used... Should we just pick a random song??

We''ll be dancing to "It Had to Be You," most likely the Harry Connick Jr. version. No question--it''s been a special song for us for a while. The only issue I see is I might have some trouble choreographing a dance to it, but barring that, it will definitely be the first dance song.
