I really like almond macaroons, but nothing beats a buttery chocolate chip cookie. My absolute favorite choc chip cookies are the Cow Chip cookies from the Cow Chip cookie store in Pioneer Square in Seattle. I miss those cookies!
Homemade chocolate chip. Mmmmmm. My grandmother used to make fabulous chocolate cookies w/chocolate icing, they just melted in your mouth -- I have the recipe but not the skill; somehow they just don't come out the same.
I think, though, based on the combination of buttery delicious taste and sentimentality, that Spritz Cookies the way my mom makes them (her recipe doesn't work in my cookie press! ) are my favorite. Particularly the long cookie sticks with the ends dipped in chocolate. NOM.
911 Chocolate emergency cookies (dark chocolate cookies with vanilla icing), chocolate crinkle cookies, and this makes me sound crazy but I love chocolate chip cookies but really love them without the chocolate chips.
My mom or older sister's chocolate chip cookies with walnuts! Second choice would be snickerdoodles or molasses ginger cookies, also made my my mom or older sister!
I have always loved making cookies and consider myself a pretty good baker, but none of the cookies I have ever made call my name
like these. Go figure.
