SO, I am back thinking about a 5 stone ring. I am currently looking for a suite of OEC or Old Mine cuts. I have been stalking a CVB inspired design bezel setting that has milgrain on it. (though I am not sure if I will get her setting as I have not been impressed with her customer service)

But I am wondering what my fellow Pricescoper's favorite 5 stone setting is?

thanks for you help and ideas

At the moment this is my favorite 5 stone setting...it is graduated but can probably be done all in same size...

I love the one you posted too. I have been thinking about doing a 5 stone graduated. The thing that has me worried about
bezeling them is that I have a 5mm oec that I bezeled set and now it looks a lot darker. Probably because the stone was not
as well cut to start with even though it looked very pretty without the bezel.

When you are ready to buy, I would talk to Love Affair diamonds or Jewels by Grace and tell them you are looking
for a suite of 5 matching stones. They seem to get gobbled up before they can even go on their websites.

If you are considering a bezel setting, make sure it is well cut because some have nice patterning but darken considerably once bezeled.

I like bezels, but my favorite five stone rings are unbezeled. I think that with bezelled settings the metal starts to overwhelm the diamonds when you get ink five-stone territory. Sorry about that. :(

I always loved the trellis designs, and I thought I would re-set my antique 5-stone into a trellis, but I love the antique setting now, so won't be changing it.

Vatche also does a trellis 5 stone setting, and Good Old Gold can make the ring. I was looking at AVRs or AVCs before I found my antique, because I thought it would be easier to match colors.

I also will attach a photo of my ring. I wasn't sure if I'd like the antique setting, but it grew on me very quickly.

thanks for the reply so far, I am totally open to ALL 5 stone settings.

Thanks also for letting me know that there could be a chance that bezeling old cuts that may not be perfectly cut could make them appear darker that is something I totally didn't know about.

tyty: I LOVE    that Addylin setting and I had forgot about it. I am not appose to a graduated look either. I am thinking making this as a sort of Mother's ring as I have FIVE kids. I have already reached out to Grace looking for a 5 stone suite though maybe I should mention I am open to a graduated suite I wonder if that would be easier to find.

Chrono: Thanks for mentioning the darkening in the bezels I am going to have to keep that in mind :naughty:

VRBeauty: I am open to any five stone setting at this point so PLEASE share :wavey:

rubybeth: I have thought about GOG and looking at AVR and AVC but I might have to bump up my budget for that. Which if I can not find old stones that is my next REALLY good option

PLEASE keep giving me ideas

thanks everyone
