Somehow I think the categories are two big. I thought I would be in the minority with a .52, but after voting I see that my ring is in the majority, primarily because it's in the same category with stones up to 1ct.

Oh Bean, I'm so sorry about your loss. Obviously the stone belongs to you now. It is "yours".

For what it's worth, it's none of people's business how you got your ring. It's perfectly okay to say, "It was my grandma's." End of story. Any other nosy question that follows reeks of envy.

I can't tell you how many times I've gotten asked "Is that real?" about my ring, or my least favorite of all time "Wow, your husband must love you a lot!" (Yes, but he loved me just as much when I was wearing my original .20 ct stone!)

I was feeling so mopey this week. DH and I tried a new chinese restaurant and my gma would've loved it. I started dwelling on it and got really sad that I couldn't bring her there. Or even tell her about it.

Combine that with silly stranger comments I just think about how she is gone GONE.
