Wow, random thread. I'm knocked up so I get mine taken every week. It's usually between 105-118/65-78. Although I was in the ER a couple of weeks ago and (flipping through paper work) it was 135/95.

110/60

Mine is always low- never remember which number goes on top lol- but it's usually around 90/60. Or maybe it's 60/90 lol. You get the idea

I just went to the Dr. on Thursday and it was 121/72. I've always been normal (well, my BP anyway!) LOL

110/70. I have always been told it's on the low side. What is your's DF??

Mine is low. In the range of 90/60-110/70. I often get a "head rush" when I stand up quickly because of low BP. SO'd BP is ridiculously high. It's in the range of 140/80-160/100

SAME! All the way down to the head rushes and the SO with extremely high BP!!!

most of the time is 120 something over 70-80

With few exceptions usually 110/60-70. The highest I know it's ever been was 145/something. But that's when I thought I was having a heart attack.

110/70 at both visits to the doctor these last couple of weeks.

Always in the normal range. Hoping it stays that way!

usually 115/70

Usually about 90/60.

100/65. Although during my 2nd year of med school it was 110/70 in physiology lab, but I'd literally just finished a Wendy's burger, fries, and a Coke.

Most often 120's/70-80's.

Mine has always been in the normal range until the last half of last year, when it started going up. My doctor lent me a monitor and asked to check it a few times a day. Being anally retentive, I set up a spreadsheet and calendar reminders and did it every hour and then repeated after a minute or 2. It definitely high - 150ish/100ish.
Now I am on medication and it is on the low side usually 90/60. I bought my own monitor and have a new addiction (checking everyone's BP).
I think my age is catching up to me (big 5-0 last year, sigh). Maybe I need to start acting my age, seeing as my blood pressure is!

My blood pressure varies(Kenny would be proud :rodent: ).

It goes way up in the doctor's office because I cannot help but get nervous there (yeah I know pathetic  ) so I am supposed to check it at home (thanks for the reminder df :wink2: ). My internist has determined that I have "white coat hypertension" which basically means my bp is normal usually but goes up when I get nervous as when I am at the doctor's office etc. So I am not on any HTN meds since whenever I do check it is is normal and I hope it will stay that way.

Glammosher- have you tried reducing sodium intake and increasing cardio workout? I am sure your doctor and you have probably discussed this before (but just in case you didn't) but there are some lifestyle changes you can make that may allow you to reduce or even stop you medication.

Haha our dog has white coat hypertension!! When we take him to the vet barks, paces and cries as soon as he sees the white coat- last night in fact- but when the ET took it off he relaxed and was fine! :)

Haha that's too funny! Poor baby though- he doesn't understand what's going on. What's my excuse LOL?! ;))

(for me it's not the literal "white coat" but the fact that I am at the doctor's and just get sooo nervous :knockout: )

hey Missy, I probably do have too much salt, but am a bit of a runner so cardio is usually OK. My weight is pretty good at the moment, so can't blame that. My life is pretty chaotic (blame teenage sons), so I wouldn't say I am stress free. I think it is more other parts of my life that are out of my control that have affected it. Plus a family history which has caught up to me too...

I just had mine taken yesterday at the doctor's . It's 120/80. Not great but not too bad, I guess. It used to be very low but it slowly but surely crept up. High BP runs in my family. Mom had very high BP and had to be on medication. I try to watch it by eating as little salt as possible and exercising but genes are not in my favour.

Mine's low. Super low when I was pg w/Trapper, like 80 over something. The nurse used to ask if I was sure I was alive.

On average 110/60... I take it after I have been sitting down for about 10 minutes (the doctor told me that is the proper way to do it and to take several readings to get an average). I am in my mid 50s and my bp was higher, but I then I stepped up my cardio, reduced my sodium intake, began drinking more water to stay hydrated, and lost 10 pounds (that was a nice extra!). The doctor took me off blood pressure meds in December and my bp has stayed the same and sometimes it can dip a bit lower. Oh, and my resting heart rate is 62.

Most recently 100/65

I have to work to keep it up because I suffer from hypotension, so I'm glad it's up a bit now.

Same here. I get frequent head rush like all the low blood pressure folks, and fainted a couple times while pregnant.

It was 102/68 at my check up last week. I'm in my late 50s, so I'll take it.

Right now probably 200/150 lol, been a really stressful day...anyway last time I was at the Dr. it was 128/82 or something close to that..but I am on 2 blood pressure meds a day

Typically about 110/70.

115/75
