It goes way up in the doctor's office because I cannot help but get nervous there (yeah I know pathetic) so I am supposed to check it at home (thanks for the reminder df
). My internist has determined that I have "white coat hypertension" which basically means my bp is normal usually but goes up when I get nervous as when I am at the doctor's office etc. So I am not on any HTN meds since whenever I do check it is is normal and I hope it will stay that way.
Glammosher- have you tried reducing sodium intake and increasing cardio workout? I am sure your doctor and you have probably discussed this before (but just in case you didn't) but there are some lifestyle changes you can make that may allow you to reduce or even stop you medication.

Haha our dog has white coat hypertension!! When we take him to the vet barks, paces and cries as soon as he sees the white coat- last night in fact- but when the ET took it off he relaxed and was fine!![]()
