I just got a Save-the-Date I had sent out returned to me as "not deliverable as addressed" - the strange thing is, I sent 2 Save-the-Dates to the SAME address...addressed the SAME way. One arrived no problem, so I can''t figure out why the heck this one got returned!

Oddly, I had a similar issue recently with a Bridal Shower a friend and I were throwing. My friend sent out the invites, and the one she sent me got returned to her...with NO reason on it. And, we studied the address...everything was correct and we couldn''t figure out why it woudn''t have reached me.

What is going on with the Post Office?? Anyone had any similar issues???

Aiy! And here I had just convinced myself that there was no need to include a return address...(there''s not a particularly good place to put one.)

We got a few wedding invitations returned up to 2 months AFTER the wedding.

One of them, THEY took to the wrong address, and then instead of trying to mail it to the correct place, they returned it to my parents address. This is the one we got back 2 months after. We had no idea what happened or where it went, and then all of a sudden, it showed up in the mail.

Not sure what happened in your case, but I had an aunt that sent me a birthday gift, but she addressed it to my maiden last name instead of the married one (to which the postal carrier was accustomed) and they returned it to her saying that I no longer lived here, even though the first name and address were the same!

Um, I wanted to blow up my local post office during my invite mailing period. (No, this isn''t a threat, fed. gov''t

We experienced a return "undeliverable address" when the address WAS correct. Three or so people never received their invites... I''m expecting them to show up a month or so after the wedding

I understand that the P.O. deals with a LOT of mail on a regular basis and that when you mail a substantial number of items, something is bound to get goofed up... But botched up wedding-related mailings stink a whole lot. Better luck with your invites!!!

Wow...glad I''m not the only one (I guess)! I am so compelled to go down there (or catch my mailman) and ask them for an explanation...

Now I get to worry about my invites. Maybe I''ll take them in small batches to multiple post offices. (As if that will help!)
