I have a dream ring in mind: a combination of the Megan Thorn picture frame ring, a double bezel, but no side stones, and either an open bezel style (like the Sholdt Lola) or possibly something like the side view of the Tacori 2620 (pictured below), which would go well with the antique vibe I'm going for with an OEC as the center stone. But what is the area of the ring I circled called?! Is it a basket? Is it a cup? I want to know the correct name so when I get this custom made, I know what I'm talking about.
I like how the shank makes a circle around the finger, and then the cathedral-style of the shank rising up to meet the halo (in my imagination, this would be a bezel instead of a halo, but same idea). I like that it kind of looks like a flower, and is swoopy and dramatic and would also allow a very low-set band to sit flush (my 2mm wedding band and Danielle bezel band from WF).
Thanks for any help!!
