what is the name of this setting

Hi. I found the perfect ring we both agree on. Unfortunately it was at Kay and neither of us really want to buy from there.
It is a channel setting on the band with a diamond "floating" over it. When we look at floating diamonds it isn''t hovering as this one is.
Is there a special name for this setting.

Hi and welcome; I guess I would call it a floating trellis. I would ask Whiteflash if they could make one similar to that.

I would call it something similar to skip like "twisted trellis" or something like that. As long as you show this picture to the vendor you work with, it shouldn''t be an issue to get the look right.

Verragio makes that type of setting. I have a Verragio solitaire and I always get compliments on the setting. You can check out their website, or I think that billbarnes.com sells Verragio.
