What is the difference between 4 prong set and cutdown pave

Hi

Can someone explain the difference between a 4 prong set eternity ring and a 4 prong cutdown pave ring?
Especially in 2mm or larger in width. They. Ith have 4 prongs.

I do not see anything about regular prong set though so i am still confused as to what the actual difference is. I am hoping someone can help explain it to me.
