I have the opportunity to upgrade from my current stone:
Certificate: EGL USA
Weight: 1.35 CT
Shape: Cushion Modified Brilliant
Clarity: Vs2
Color: H
F: None
Measurements: 6.79 x 5.91 x 3.95
Depth: 66.8%
Table: 61%
Crown: 14.7%
Pavilion: 37.1%
Girdle: Medium to Thick (faceted)
Cutlet: None
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Very Good

To this stone:
Certificate: GIA
Weight: 2.0 CT
Shape: Cushion Modified Brilliant
Clarity: Vs1
Color: J
F: None
Measurements: 7.14 x 6.73 x 5.21
Depth: 77.4%
Table: 71%
Crown Angle: Greater than 40 degrees
Girdle: Very Thin to Extremely Thick (faceted)
Cutlet: None
Polish: Good
Symmetry: Good

I know that the new stone doesn't fit within "typical" specs/isn't the greatest as far as cut goes, but am wondering what a stone with this type of dimensions looks like and if we should consider it? With my current ring/setting trade-in value and out of pocket, the new stone and setting (simple Rose gold solaitare with White gold head) will end up at about $10,000. We paid $6,500 for my current stone and setting so am wondering if this is equivilant to what we could get if we tried to sell the ring ourselves for a total budget of $10,000 or sell it through consignment/work with another vendor for a bigger stone (not sure what that would net out to be). My head is spinning, help! :( :?:
