I started searching for diamonds on engagement rings direct.com, and I found 2 cushion diamonds, 1.31c, VVS2 or something, and for color it says FL. When I click "Learn more", it says that only a pro jeweler with tools can tell this from a D color diamond. The GIA report isn''t scanned but the text says it''s FL in multiple places. What is FL?

As far as color..., maybe its a misspeled letter..., it could be an "F" colour.
FL stands for "Flawless" clarity..., but you say it was graded "VVS" (very, very small)
FL sometimes stands for "Fluorescence"

There is no category as FL colour!!!!

I know! That''s why it''s so perplexing...

I did a search for Cushions 1.2-1.3c, D-H, IF-VS2, $5-8K, and there''s a big list with 2-3 FL''s

This is a 1.31 Carat, FL Color, GIA diamond accompanied by a grading report from GIA
Our price: $5,633

And how come some GIA reports don''t have the diagram of the diamond with the extra numbers -- crown and pavilion angles?

I just went to their site and saw the same thing. I think it is supposed to say F but you would have to contact them to find out.

Must be a typo.
