What is appraiser suppossed to do really?

Ok I got to work fast I think I found a lovely Marquise. All 1a specs according to AGA and also a D color VVs2. All you experts have been so helpfull in your advise and I thank you. Would like to ask you another important question. I am buying the diamond on the net and it has a 30 day return policy.I would like to take it to an independant appraiser for their opinion on the peformance of the stone. You know to tell me the cut is rockin and the light return too and tell me what it is worth.

However, all you really cool pricescope guys are so far away. I fear that the report won''t be back in the 30 day time limit. Can you all recommend any dudes in Los angeles and tell me the best tests to run?

Most of the appraisers that are on this forum know that time is of the essence. My reports are usually done in 48 hours.

Review the different appraisers and what they do...what equipment they have etc. Check their websites..

The process goes pretty quickly as many internet sellers only give around 10 days - so the we all know the limitations you might have for returning the stone if it isn''t as represented or isn''t what you really want or expected.
