Wedding what hair with a drop veil????

OK so I am TOTALLY clueless about hair!

I have a silk tulle mantilla veil that I am wearing Grace Kelly style as a cage/drop veil on a comb (not on a high comb though just a small flat hair comb) and I have zilch, zero, nada idea what to tell the hair woman to do with my hair.

My wedding is next Sunday and she is coming to the house and wants to know what to bring and I don''t know what to tell her! I mean, something to anchor the veil on...I used to wear my hear in French braids a lot,that looked OK-- it''s brown, wavy, medium thick, has to be parted to the side or a thin spot shows.

I never do my own hair really so I don''t know what looks good/I don''t have any ideas! I don''t know that I have enough hair to do half up/half down,though...

What about doing it in sort of a Grace Kelly/retro style? Finger waves and whatnot are really pretty and it''d go with your veil.

Hrm....sounds intriguing ladypirate, but I cannot visualize what that means? I meant it when I said I was clueless about hair!

Your hair is a bit longer than I thought it was--actually we have really similar hair! Have you thought about doing a side part chignon (basically a bun at the nape of your neck)? It''s a really classy look and one I use for formal events a lot. I''d do something like that with maybe a few loose curls around your face. I think that''d look lovely with your veil.
