What gemstone is this?

My grandmother gave me this ring, but I’m not sure what the gemstone is and I can’t ask her so I thought I would turn to you all for help! The inside of the ring is stamped 14k FO so I assume it’s 14 karat gold and thus not costume jewelry? Could it be an aquamarine or more likely a blue topaz or zircon? I’m new to this world

The color is fairly bright in person. There are 3 small (what I’m guessing) diamond chips on each side.

It looks like synthetic spinel to me, but you probably won't know for sure unless you take it to a gemologist who has tools to test.

My guess would be synthetic spinel, then blue topaz, maybe an aquamarine.

Synthetic spinel or blue topaz. It’s too bright blue to be an aqua.
