No GIA report, 7 day inspection

Thanks

Hazy without much yellow; just a drab greenish gray diamond with hints of yellow. If you like it and it is very very inexpensive, why not. But if planning to use this for an important piece of jewellery, I would shop for a yellower FCD.

+1 I would personally pass on this one as it has little appeal to me. I actually really like FLY's (light yellow) but this is to hazy and just looks dirty to me.

I was on market for yellow diamond. I requested pics on this diamond before I joined ppricescope. I thought it looked great lol. Now looking at the pics i thought they are weird. my untrained eyes have been trained ;)

ill pass pass then. Thanks

I'd pass on any fancy colored diamond without a grading report from GIA stating that it is a natural fancy colored diamond. Nothing like overpaying for a stone then finding out after the fact that the stone is enhanced.

After i joined pricescope, I learnt to ask seller for GIA report and he answered they dont do GIA in Bangkok. I dont know what it means and dont bother to ask.

Even with a 7 day return, I think the hassle of having it appraised then maybe having it return... arghh doesnt worth it

I'd agree with everyone else to PASS!!! I doubt that picture from the seller is the same stone as the one pictured in direct sunlight....it looks WAY too hazy. (They may just have some great photography skills. I would highly suggest going through one of our vendors. What's your budget and what size are you looking for?

don't waste your money... :nono:

Says alot about the seller. GIA has a lab in thailand. Sellers know this and they don't send stones of lower grades (or treated) to them as it doesn't justify the costs and profits they will make.

Skip the stone.

I agree that GIA has a lab in Bangkok. To send it to GIA means that the stone will come back with an unattractive report, in addition to the cost of the diamond, which further increases the price. Not something a vendor is open to doing when he very well knows it's not cost effect for that particular diamond.

love you all, help me save money. funny how seller has very good reviews. Lots of people are happy. I would have my big buyer remorse when I received a dull looking diamond

I see this very often on eBay. They are many ways to get around bad reviews:
1. Pay off buyer to retract a poor review, either with a discount or whatever.
2. Seller can have friends buy stuff, then write glowing reviews.
3. Some buyers just don't know any better.

Toolhaus is a better place to check reviews on a vendor.

I concur with others. I'd pass unless it's graded by GIA and actually a FLY diamond. This diamond actually appears to just be a lower-colored diamond (warmer color). And being that it's not graded, you really don't know what you're getting.
I see that you mentioned in an earlier post that since joining PS, your eyes are a bit more trained and you decided to pass. I, personally, think that you made a wonderful and well-informed decision. :twirl:

wow it takes my breath away.

my budget was originally 3k but now it has gone up to 7500 (my huband said go ahead and have the one I really like so I dont have the eek to upgrade and keep checking pricescope so often ) . Originally I had wanted an yellow diamond for my ering upgrade. But after joining here, I wanted a H&A BRC cut. Now after looking at your stone, Im debating if I want white or yellow.

Ah you make my life more difficult now lol

now i cant get my eyes off of this

I like the 1.05 and 1.06 the best.

I like the luster in the 1.06

but when I zoom in the 1.05, I can really see the green and I like it too

which one do you think is better in term of cut?

I'd never buy an FCD without a GIA report.
Too much money at stake and too many scams.
People get sneakier and sneakier with color-improving treatments and GIA is the top lab for spotting the latest.
A treated diamond is worth a small fraction of one that has both material and color of natural origin.
A recent GIA report is your best assurance of what you are buying.
Nothing wrong with lab-created or mined but color-treated diamonds but since the price is VERY different you want a GIA report to be sure a colored diamond is fully natural before you pay fully-natural prices.

I've bought 20 FCDs from Lebish www.fancydiamonds.net and cannot recommend this vendor strongly enough.
They have a huge inventory, accurate photography, and great customer service.

I agree that passing on that item is a good decision.

Personally, I really enjoy this one from GOG. :lickout: I would buy it myself if only...

It's in the Y-Z range, so not technically Fancy Light, but a yellow gold setting would really make it pop. I think that it would look great in an 18k YG "gypsy" setting with a tapering band.

You should check out emerald crisscut in a low color. I saw one a few weeks back and I can't get it out of my mind.

thanks Merge for the suggestion. I honestly think it looks very special, i love the flowery cut. It could be a great piece in the hand of the masters :)

for now I would just go with more "traditional" one. Im new to this, i had to google " gypsy setting " lol

Ive scrutinized fancydiamonds.net and jamesallen but i cant find a crisscut diamond. I googled crisscut diamond and I saw some white one, they looks amazing

Crisscut diamonds are proprietary to Christopher Designs. Their yellows are quite nice.

Do you have your heart set on a round cut? Check out cushion or radiant cuts at fancydiamonds.net. They have a tremendous selection of yellows and (speaking from personal experience) they are fantastic to deal with. Be sure to sign up on their site to see best available pricing.

Happy Hunting! !

Looks very cloudy to me.
